A fingerprint on the envelope containing one of the mail bombs sent to prominent Democrats nationwide, as well as DNA on two other packages, allowed officials to close in on a suspect, 56-year-old Cesar Sayoc, who was arrested Friday morning. Attorney General Jeff Sessions said in a 2:30 p.m. press conference from Washington, D.C., that Sayoc, from Aventura, Florida, faces five federal charges and up to 48 years in prison. He confirmed the five charges are: interstate transportation of an explosive, illegal mailing of explosives, threats against former presidents and certain other persons, threatening interstate communications and assaulting federal officers. Even though Sayoc was detained in Florida, he will be prosecuted in New York City. The body of Efemena Okedi, wife of late Reggae star,  Ras Kimono  has been laid to rest today at Atan cemetery, Yaba, Lagos. Late Efe Okedi was Ras Kimono’s manager and a member of his band when they were alive. She passed away on June 10, at a Lagos hospital shortly after the death of her husband. Ras Kimono died after a brief illness and was laid to rest on Aug. 28, in Asaba. She was buried at exactly 10.45 a.m. in a solemn mood amid tears from friends and family. The officiating minister at the internment, Pastor Emmanuel Ajomafuwe, described the deceased as an epitome of love and asked people to give praise to God for a life well spent.

The person behind the mail bombs sent to various prominent Democrats has been identified as Cesar Altier Sayoc. Cesar Altier Sayoc was taken into custody on Friday morning in Plantation, Florida, in connection with the 12 suspicious packages that were sent to critics of President Donald Trump this week.  According to Sayoc’s Facebook page, he is a Trump fan and has photos and videos of himself at one of the President’s rallies in October 2016. He posted a photograph of himself wearing a MAGA hat in front of the US Capitol in 2017. According to a police source, the Danish police warned their Turkish counterparts through Interpol back in May that a Denmark-based Turkish company’s e-mail system was breached and more than $1.4 million, as well as fake invoices, were sent to a front company in Turkey.
